How to Get Your Children Interested in the FHE Lesson

We have family night each Monday night, called Family Home Evening. We sing a song, open with a prayer, have a lesson, and an activity. Tonight, we also had a treat (really good homemade bread). The lesson came from our church magazine The Ensign. Tonight Abby really loved the lesson, as you can see, or at least, what's left of it.

Abby continually makes us laugh. She's becoming much more mobile, and really is trying to get to things and places. We just got a high chair for her this weekend, which we have desperately needed. Abby sat in it tonight and wolfed down her oatmeal. I mean she had her mouth wide open and both arms stretched out toward the bowl so far I thought she might pop them out of her sockets. It was like she hadn't eaten at all today.

In other news, Brian's doing really well. He's only got a few more weeks left of classes for his whole PhD. Next year he will not have to take a single one, and he is REALLY looking forward to it. I am too. We can take our mornings maybe a tad more relaxed. He's also studying hard for the actuarial exam he'll take the first weekend in May. I'm doing well too. We had two girls of a friend of mine over today while the parents went out. Three kids under the age of three: An almost three year old, an eight month old, and Abby at five and a half months. It was crazy. I learned a lot about managing more than one little person. I'm glad that when you have kids you only start out with one (usually). It was a very busy day. It was fun to hear the two year old talk about her husband though. Apparently he's named Beaver. I can't wait until Abby talks about her husband.
